Eco-chic is in. It is the hottest trend today. Not only is it fashionable, it is downright sexy to care about how what you wear effects our environment. In decades past, fashion has shown little respect for companies attempting to address environmental issues. Due to limited resources, or perhaps just because it was the 80’s, the products yielded were not of the best taste. Bland, scratchy and expensive, the fashionistas wanted no part of it.
Since then, there have been groundbreaking technological advances that enable designers to extend beyond the burlap-sac hemp, and bring ineffable styles to a transforming world. The contemporary market has embraced the movement, making hippies into hipsters with sophisticated luxuries, and sharp stylish suits. Environmental awareness has gone glam.
