Jesus said “Kingdom shall rise against Kingdom”. Internally the Spirit and the Ego are battling, and this is the only true and worthy Armageddon, non-violently fought within. Inner peace (and world peace) can only be attained when this inner conflict has resolved and Spirit’s wisdom triumphed over ego’s ignorance. Love must defeat hate and the only place that can occur is within, what I call Inner Disarmageddon.

The ego is murdered by truth because the ego is founded upon delusion, the “separate-self”, supported by desire and highly developed within capitalism. Materialism reinforces the “I”, “me” and “mine”. Mind is the root of the problem and also the solution, once it attains the enlightenment of alignment with Isness, it frees itself from the intent and desire to manipulate for personal gain. We need to meet our own needs to grow, but that cannot be done at the expense of another.

Healing needs a new context and paradigm, where personal success and status is dependent on how well we as individuals can help meet the needs of the whole, so that we can evolve beyond the traumas and injustices of a scarcity paradigm and move into the reality of abundance. There is enough for all; it just needs to become priority. Politics is priority management, and usually those in control want to remain in control so that their interests are met, which are not the same interests of those who are not ruled by the quest for domination. Most people seek pleasure and avoid pain, not to rule the world. When a group of individuals seeks to dominate and rule, people can either support the core ideas of that group or reject them. The impact of that group is determined by the populace’s willingness and ability to stand up and demand behaviors consistent with truth and love. We have not done this with the current Bush administration. Hence, we are confronted with the horrific results currently facing us.

We need strength, prayer and community to recognize and embrace the truth. Truth is what maintains integrity and the strength of a system. It is not enough to know the truth, it must be lived and this is what it means to be holy. To divorce body from mind and soul is the ultimate violence and results in the catastrophic results we are witnessing today in global politics.

It is said all imbalances and illness are rooted in the personal spirit of the individual. Until the Collective Heart of the Body of Humanity fulfills its role as nurturing the needs of its parts, humanity is doomed to suffer and innocence corrupted. It is the role of a global education standard that will assist the enlightenment of the individual so that we no longer are a cause of ignorance, domination, oppression and suffering. We must expose corruption and remove all incentives for it. This, to me, is the only true work/love/play of liberation. All else may be enslavement.
