Technology Smooths The Way For Home-Power Turbines

When we think about wind turbines, we usually think about rural houses far from electrical service, or remote areas with small populations. However, with new technology wind turbines are turning up in populated residential neighborhoods.
It is now possible for these systems to be plugged directly into a circuit in the home electrical panel. It is still too early to tell the financial benefits of these systems, but many people install these wind turbines because of ecological concerns. One major drawback is the aesthetic impact on neighborhoods, which may curtail the use of these wind turbines.
