Another Study Shows Good Guys Don't Finish Last

A recent study of over 1200 executives, over a quarter of whom were CEO's, concluded that companies "that have delivered strong share price growth over the past three years are more proactive on corporate sustainability issues than those that have seen their share price stagnate or decline."
While clearly sustainable practice cannot be deemed the cause of share price growth it demonstrates a correlation between responsible corporate stewardship and companies' actual performance performance.
The international study also revealed that executives were very receptive to regulation on social and environmental issues (with 40% calling it necessary) and that most believed the benefits of sustainable practices outweighed the costs.

State Natural Resources Commissioner Dan Sullivan said marketing Alaska leases is key to the overall effort to boost oil production. Alaska relies heavily on oil revenues to run state government, but production has been declining and the state has been looking for ways to reverse the trend. Gov.
